My goal has always been to spread joy and success within a new non-profit endeavor. I want to help plants grow and flourish in Central Oregon so that families can live in an abundance of agriculture. 

One of my favorite activities of being a dietitian is trialing new vegetables and fruits in a cooking workshop environment. I like integrating new cultivars into American and Mediterranean dishes to increase fiber and nutrients into classic American diets. 

I am a happy, outgoing person and I feel connected to the world through relationships, community and my environment. I pursue outdoor activities and enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and kite boarding. I also find love & connection internally through reading, and externally by meeting locals and new visitors exploring one of the best places to live...Bend, Oregon.

Here at Around the Bend Farms we focus on community, sustainability and love.  We share common goals, passions and ideas regarding the future of local and global sustainable agriculture/farming.  We are encouraged to celebrate our uniqueness.

I decided to pursue an education in Nutrition Science and just recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University.  My view of food as medicine has me eager to pursue nutritional therapy.  I am interested in growing and preparing food and everything in between.

I express my happiness by being with and connecting to others.  My passion for nutrition is expressed through spending hours in the garden and the kitchen.  Food is a commonality for all around the world, and helps me feel connected to other cultures and communities.  When I am feeling outgoing I love to travel, snowboard, cook with friends and family and share my passions and goals.

I'm humbled each day by the amazing people in our organization who help shape the present development and imagined future of Around The Bend Farms, and they remind me to always trust the power of relationship. We are creating everything we do from a "seed crystal" of imagination, passion, talent, collaboration, patience and focus. It's all really a labor of love, and not about getting "somewhere" or marketing a product at light speed.

The new face of farming we are creating is being built upon ancient methods, and all we're doing is incorporating our unique twist on modern, innovative, and computer-driven processes. This hybrid food system that we envision incorporates local collaborators directly in the planning, design and integration process. We always need to remember that farming and gardening was born from community, family, and local endeavors to consistently and effectively feed each other healthy food for generations.
